    June is Seniors' Month in Ontario. It is a time to celebrate our seniors who built this province - and to recognize the contributions they have made in communities across Ontario, and the lives they have impacted – across generations.

    GrandPals: Sending Virtual Joy

    Would you (or a loved one) like to be sent some virtual joy? Local teens have been busy creating artwork and writing poems and letters for those who may be isolated from their loved ones. If you, or someone you know, could benefit from this virtual joy, please send an email to mary.oconnor@beinspired.ca and look out for a joyful email coming your way! 

    How to Keep a Healthy Brain

    This program will teach you what dementia is, what causes it, and the top five things you can do right now to reduce your chances of a diagnosis. 

    Guitar Jammin' with Jim

    Bring your guitar and join Jim for virtual guitar jam sessions. We'll meet weekly via Zoom.

    The Writers' Circle 

    This writing group meets virtually biweekly to share what they've written, and supports in whatever genre you choose. It is self-directed with occasional guest speakers. 

    Recreation with Dementia 

    Family caregivers learn how to use and adapt recreational activities to help stimulate interactions of people with dementia. Presented in partnership with the Alzheimer Society of Halton.
