How are Volunteers Chosen?

Volunteers are selected based on their written application, references, and a short interview. Applications are carefully reviewed by staff in accordance with the volunteer profiles listed below. Police Records Check

Successful candidates must present the results of a Police Records Check: Vulnerable Sector Screening, prior to their commencement in the program. The cost of this document is $25.00 for a volunteer position. The cost will be reimbursed by Milton Public Library upon acceptance into the program. Successful candidates must present an original receipt of purchase AND the completed Police Records Check: either the Police Information Check (under 18) or the Vulnerable Sector Screening (18+) to staff who will arrange for the reimbursement.
