The Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

Recommended by Aditi.

I loved this book (and the rest of the series) because of the science fiction/fantasy elements, the amazing plot (with many twists and turns), and the fantastic characters. Red Queen is truly an awe-inspiring novel, and a great read. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoyed Percy Jackson, The Hunger Games, and anything to do with superheroes and villains.

The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken

Recommended by Tithi.

An awesome read for people who like science fiction and adventure, teenage run-aways, and post-apocalyptic fights against the government.

I am Number Four by Pittacus Lore

I think that this is a great book because it is full of amazing characters and unexpected settings. It will make you laugh, but will also make you shed a couple of tears. It contains many adventures and plot twists that will leave you hanging on until the very end. Read this, you definitely won't be disappointed!

End of Days by Eric Walters

Recommended by Asadullah.

I adored this amazing novel because it is a science fiction/mystery novel about an event that actually could happen one day! I loved the suspenseful  writing, and as I started reading, I found I couldn't put it down because it was so interesting. I loved the author's writing style and how it just kept me wanting more. Each character in the book has a different and dynamic personality, and the plot has many twists and turns.

Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets to the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz

This is a story which holds the facade of being a very simple love story, but which has a much deeper and darker underlying plot. It is about struggles which you must discover the answer to on your own, and is flushed out with dimensional characters that have great chemistry. There is natural and genuine character development which is written with a unique and engaging style. You can really connect with the main characters and their personal stories.

Buzz Kill by Beth Fantaskey

Recommended by Ishleen

I enjoyed this book because it was centered around an endearingly relatable high school student with a knack for solving crimes. Millie's adventures may take her to dangerous places, but she is willing to do anything to clear her father's name, as he has been accused of a terrible crime. Combine that with a suspicious but impeccably dressed fellow detective, and a French teacher who loves making life difficult, and you've got yourself a great adventure.

The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini

This book is a great read that provides important insights on war, and family relations. I think this book is great for anyone that enjoys reading titles which are inspirational and emotional. This book will keep you hooked with it's interesting plot and for the way it makes you think about the world you live in. I couldn't put it down!

Everything Beautiful is Not Ruined by Danielle Younge-Ullman

A great book which is full of action, humour, and excitement. I truly adore how the author portrayed the main character Ingrid because she is super relatable and hilarious. Although this book is also very heartbreaking, you want to keep reading to make sure everything turns out ok. However, to find that out, you should read this awesome book!

Geronimo Stilton Series by Geronimo Stilton

Love the use of creative fonts to convey the message and meaning of the story. You get to learn about different countries and their history and culture, and the main characters are always on an adventure. I love the mystery to be solved and the twists and turns the author puts you through to get to the end of the book.
