The Evergreen Award™

Evergreen Award Logo

The Evergreen Award™ features ten recently published Canadian books for adults of any age.

Nominees are announced at the Ontario Library Super Conference which takes place in February of each year. Voting takes place during the month of September and the winner is announced during Ontario Public Library Week in October.

Library patrons are invited to read titles beginning in the spring of each year and vote for their favourite nominee at the Milton Public Library during September. From May through August enter a ballot for each Evergreen nominee read for a chance to win the grand prize.

Adult Summer Reading Program

This summer, read one or all of the wonderful Canadian books that have been nominated for The Evergreen Award™!

The Evergreen Award™ is a reading program for adults that connects readers from all across the province with stellar Canadian authors. From May to August, the 2019 Evergreen nominees will be shelved in the New and Notable section of the library. Pick one up today or place a hold online.

For each 2019 Evergreen book you read, you may enter one ballot in the draw. At the end of the summer, we'll draw a winner for the Grand Prize book basket. Ballots will be available starting May 1st through August 31st. Enter in person at either library location today or enter online and be sure to keep reading all summer long. The more you read, the greater your chances of winning the grand prize draw! Vote for your favourite title in September.
